モスクワで最初のカンファレンス「Free Software: Business Models and Corporate
Initiatives (ビジネスモデルと企業の取り組み)」 が開催されました。これは、Electronic
Russia 連邦特別プログラムの枠組みの中で開催されました。このプログラムは、
ロシアの移行経済と西洋の経済との「情報格差」を短縮する目的で行われました。
<p>このイベントの主な目標は、開発者やプロバイダ、消費者を含めた、Russia
でのフリーソフトウェア社会の確立について関心のあるあるいは関わる、
あらゆる関係者の相互理解を確立することだとされています。よく知られている
<a href="http://www.ibm.com/">IBM</a> と <a href="http://www.sun.com">Sun
Microsystems</a> の 2 つの企業がこのイベントを後援しました。</p>
