공지했다</a>. 데비안 프로젝트는 <a href="$(HOME)/releases/stable/">\
stable 릴리스</a>의 또 다른 업데이트를 <a href="$(HOME)/News/2005/20050101">\
발표했다</a>. Joey Hess가 unstalbe에서 수정된 보안 문제 목록을 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2004/12/msg00198.html">\
발표</a>했는데 sarge에서는 미해결 상태다.</p>
<p><strong>새 Arch와 Subversion 서버.</strong> 모든 arch와 subversion
저장소를 새 서버로 옮겼다고 Wichert Akkerman이 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2004/12/msg00009.html">\
공지했다</a>. subversion의 백엔드를 fsfs로 전환함으로써 데드 록, 멈춘
프로세스, 부정확한 접근 목록으로 인해 야기되는 문제가 수정될 것이다.
그는 이후에 성공적인 이전에 대해

<p><strong>GNU/리눅스의 의미.</strong> GNU/리눅스란 용어의 데비안 식
해석은 최근 리처드 스톨만과의 <a href="http://www.linuxdevcenter.com/pub/a/linux/2004/12/22/rms_interview.html">\
인터뷰</a>에 따르면 잘못된 것이라고 Ed White이 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2004/12/msg00269.html">지적했다
</a>. 리처드 스톨만은 인터뷰에서 GNU/리눅스라는 용어는 GNU 시스템에
리눅스가 추가된 것을 의미한다고 설명했다. Peter Karlsson은 그것은 단지
해석의 문제라고 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2004/12/msg00272.html">설명했다</a>.
리눅스 커널로 시작해서 GNU 도구가 더해졌다면 데비안 웹 페이지의 표현이
맞고 GNU 도구로 시작해 커널, 예를 들어 리눅스가 추가된 것으로 볼 수도

<p><strong>모질라 상표 제한.</strong> Alexander Sack이 데비안
프로젝트가 모질라 <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/foundation/trademarks/policy.html">상표 제한
</a> 때문에 모든 모질라 관련 패키지의 이름을 바꿔야만 할 수 있다는
것을 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2004/12/msg00328.html">언급했다</a>.
그는 또한 명명(naming) 제한이 패키지를 non-free로 만들 수 있는지에
대해서도 질문했다. 배포명이 있거나 없는 Freebird,
Freefox, Freezilla 등의 새 이름이 제안됐다. Don Armstrong이 비공식

<p><strong>MPEG 인코더 패키징.</strong> <code>lame</code>을 데비안에서

최근에 메일링 리스트에 올라왔다. Chris Cheney가 특허를 강요하는 한
회사가 특허로 방해하기 때문이라고 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/12/msg02201.html">설명했다</a>.
소프트웨어가 최근에 유럽에서는 특허를 받지 못했지만 특허권을 침해할
수 있으며 이는 데비안과 관련된 문제라고 Florian
Weimer가 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/12/msg02219.html">덧붙였다</a>.</p>
<p><strong>실험적인 Buildd 네트워크?</strong> Frank Kster가
<code>experimental</code> 패키지들이 자동 빌드되는지 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/12/msg02271.html">궁금해
했다</a>. Andreas Barth가 <code>experimental</code>을 위한 buildd
네트워크를 운영하고 있다고 Martin Michlmayr가 <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/12/msg02272.html">지적했다

<p><strong>Detecting uninstalled Packages.</strong> Martin Michlmayr <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-qa/2004/12/msg00043.html">asked</a> for a
list of packages that are not installed by anybody or only by a few people.
Frank Lichtenheld <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-qa/2004/12/msg00044.html">revealed</a>
that this refers to about 230 (or 600 for less than two installations)
packages according to the <a href="http://popcon.debian.org/">popularity
contest</a>.</p>

확장 X터미널(Debian extended Xterminal)"의 일부분으로 데비안이라는
