<p><strong>Debian と Freedom CPU</strong>。
Russell Coker さんは、Debian を F-CPU の開発作業によりよいプラットフォー
ムにするには、一体何を加えればいいのか調べるために、

Freedom CPU プロジェクト</a> (F-CPU) に

<p><strong>shebang line (#! 行) 中の空白</strong>。
Debian を NetBSD に移植する作業をしている Joel Backer さんは、いくつ
かの <code>debian/rules</code> ファイルの shebang line (#! 行) の後
ろに空白があることを

発見しました</a>。これは GNU/Linux では問題になりませんが、スクリプ
トハンドラの違いにより、NetBSD では間違いの原因になります。彼は、後

<p><strong>人権はフリーソフトウェアを求めています</strong>。
Andy Oram さんは、

仕事で決定的な役割を果たすという弁護士の意見について報告しました。こ

<p><strong>sendmail にもトロイ</strong>。
先週 CERT/CC は、sendmail パッケージのソースコードのいくつかのコピー
が侵入者によって書き換えられ、トロイの木馬が仕掛けられたと
<a href="http://www.cert.org/advisories/CA-2002-28.html">\
発表しました</a>。Debian の sendmail のメンテナである Richard Nelson
さんは、Debian は脆弱ではないと
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-security-0210/msg00123.html">\
報告しました</a>。Richard さんは、詳細に、 sendmail パッケージの MD5
チェックサム値と gpg 署名を検査しました。Debian セキュリティチームか
らの発表も CERT 勧告に追加されました。</p>

<p><strong>apsfilter のライセンスを更新</strong>。
青木 修さんは、以下の個人的なやりとりを

報告しました</a> - apsfilter の作者 Andreas Klemm さんは、「より
DFSG 互換に適応する」ようライセンスを変更すると決めたそうです。これ

<p><strong>sarge の CD がテスト可能</strong>。

Agust&iacute;n Mart&iacute;n Domingo さんは辞書に対する新しいポリシー
は、14 日の月曜日に始まる予定だと

発表しました</a>。これは、完全な debconf のサポートと、全ての Emacs
フレーバーでのポップアップメニューのサポートを含んでいます。スタンド
アロン状態でも使える ispell-wrapper スクリプトのおかげで、Mutt のサ
ポートも追加されました。</p>

<p><strong>著作権期間の拡張</strong>。
10 月 9 日水曜日に、アメリカ連邦最高裁判所は、
<a href="http://eldred.cc/">\
Eldred さん対 Ashcroft さん</a>の訴訟事件を審理しました。Eldred さん
は、彼の弁護士 Lawrence Lessig さんと一緒に、合州国での著作権を遡っ
て拡張する 1998 年の法律を撤廃しようと試みています。この事件は
Debian プロジェクトに直ちに影響を与えることはありませんが、
