<p>從上一次 beta 版釋出以來的改進包括：</p>

 <li>改善 Live-CD 安裝的支援 (比先前更快且更穩定);</li>
 <li>支援一些使用 Marvell ARM-相容 Orion 晶片的 NAS 設備 (QNAP TS-109/TS-209 and TS-409, HP  Media Vault mv2120, Buffalo Kurobox Pro);</li>
 <li>再次加入 Netwinder 安裝映像檔;</li>
 <li>加入 i386 Xen guests 安裝映像檔;</li>
 <li>加入硬體語音合成 (speakup) 的支援;</li>
 <li>提早在安裝階段就升級套件，例如在安裝基本系統時就取得安全性更新;</li>
 <li>支援在安裝過程中從其他(可移除)媒體載入 firmware;</li>
 <li>i386/amd64: 支援安裝到 MMC/SD 卡，或是從卡上載入 firmware;</li>

Debian <a href="http://www.debian.org/logos/"><q>Open Use Logo</q></a> (也就是<q>漩渦</q>圖) 的授權<!--
-->已經從原本 non-free 的授權變成 <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIT_License">MIT 式</a>的授權，給予<!--
